Michele Ann Hoppes, 48, of Lansing passed away Friday Feb. 23, 2004 in Lansing.

She was born in Lansing Nov. 3, 1955 the daughter of Merlin and Patricia 
(Putnam) Hoppes. Ms. Hoppes attended St. Patrick School in Portland, owned and 
operated Custom Upholstery by Michele, and was a hairstylist for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merlin Hoppes.

Surviving are her mother, Patricia Hoppes of Portland; sisters, Barbara (Bill 
Waldorf) Schrauben of Lowell, Suzi Seal of Portland, Janet (Mike) Hyland of 
Portland, Patty (Gary) Bogard of Portland, Carol (Paul) Martin of Farmington, 
Roxie (Rod) Wilkins) Getzen of DeWitt, Sherri (Dean) Fedewa of Portland, Terri 
( Jack) Schrauben of Portland, Laurie (Jeff) Cathcart of Portland; special 
friend, Richard Leseney of St. Johns; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Feb. 27 at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland with Rev. 
Charles D. Hall, Pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church officiating. Private 
interment services were held at Portland Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Online
