                         JOSEPH "JOE" P.HOPPES

Died June 5, 2022-age 62
Born June 14, 1959., son o Jim & Sharon Hoppes.
"Little Joe" was an avid hunter & fisherman. 
A member of the "Buck Barn".
His prized possessions were his flat-bottom fishing boat, his fishing poles & 
his Abu Garcia Reels.
He was proud of his grandchildren & his title as "Papa".
He taught his grandchildren how to shoot & cast to carry on his fishing & 
hunting legacy.
Joe was a builder of houses & pole barns.
He loved sitting on the porch, rocking in his chair sharing stories of his life 
adventures followed by his contagious laugh
Preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, James.
Survived by his wife,Marian; sons; Jerry Hoppes, Grant(Nicole) Hoppes, Jim 
(Cameron) Hoppes; daughter; Catie Hoppes; grandchildren;Bryce & Payton Hoppes, 
Brooklyn Hoppes & Philomena (Minnie) Mauren. Also two foster grandchildren; 
siblings; Toni (Chuck) Miller, Craig Hoppes, Bonnie (Bob) Rockey, Michelle 
(Dave) Nurenburg, Kirk (Michele) Hoppes, Vic Hoppes, Becky (Scott) Hodge & Kris 
(Dan Platte, & nieces & nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Saturday, June 11, 2022 at St.Patrick 
Catholic church,Portland.
Rite of Committal will be at Portland Cemetery. 
A luncheon to follow at the Rockey residence, 522 Goodwin Road,Lyons,MI.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 1-4 pm at the Lehman Funeral Home, 
Bridge St.,Portland.
