Raymond J. Hoppes, age 84, died September 25, 2015 in Charlotte.  Mr. Hoppes was
born July 5, 1931 in Westphalia Township, a son of John and Anna (Smith) Hoppes.
 He was a retired welder at Roberts Corporation, Grand Ledge.

Surviving are his children, Mary Warren of Lincoln Park, Shirley Lewis of Grand
Ledge, Clifford (Cindy) Towner of Mulliken, Joe (Karen) Towner of Portland,
Joanne (Bradley) Milbourne of Grand Ledge and Marilyn Bentley of Mulliken; 9
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and longtime
friend, Leta Thompson.

Services were held Wednesday at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with Rev.
Greg Gladding officiating.  Interment was in Danby Cemetery.  Memorial
contributions may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Cochran,
Charlotte, MI  48813.
