Ionia County News, 18 Apr 1963

Frank N. Hoppes, 74, of Route 2, Portland, died Friday morning, April 12, at a
Grand Rapids hospital.  Mr. Hoppes was a lifelong farmer in the Portland area,
and a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Joseph Fedewa of Portland; five brothers,
William, Bernard and Fred, all of Portland, John of Westphalia, and Albert of
Eagle.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 15, at St. Patricks
Church.  Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, at the Neller Funeral
Home.  Burial was in the Portland Cemetery.
