For several years following his retirement from the farm he was night desk man at Ionia county jail. He was born February 28, 1880 in the township of Orleans the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoppough. January 17, 1903 he was married to Maude Comstock who preceded him in death October 26, 1959 as did a son, George January 27, 1939. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lylia McCain of Flint, and Mrs. Irene Warden and Mrs. Dorothy Robinson of Orleans; three sons, Raymond of Lake Odessa, Frank of Ionia and Floyd of Saranac; 19 grandchildren and 33 great- grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Ellis-Danol funeral home in Belding with burial at Orleans cemetery. Rev. Lee Long of Orleans Methodist church will officiate.
