Mr. Hoppough was well known throughout the county, having been a prominent and prosperous farmer and a resident of Orleans township for more than a quarter of a century. Funeral services were held from his late home in Orleans on Monday afternoon and burial was made by the side of his wife in the Orleans cemetery, Mrs. Hoppough having preceded her husband in death about a year and a half ago. Surviving him is a daughter, Mrs. Gardner Howard of Ionia; two brothers, Mark Hoppough, of Ionia, and Frank Hoppough, of Orleans and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Peterson, of Smyrna, and Mrs. Addie Hall, of Chicago. Mark Hoppough, a brother, was one of the pall bearers, the others being Guy Hoppough, Ward Hoppough, Carl Hoppough, Gene and Louis Hoppough, nephews of the deceased.
