Ionia Co. Shopper's Guide-Sat. Nov. 2, 2019

HOPPOUGH
Gwendolyn K. Hoppough aged 72 of Ionia passed away October 28, 2019. She was 
born February 2, 1947 in Ionia, the daughter of Harold and Mamie "Minnie" 
(Thayer) Jeffery. Gwen married Robert "Jim" Reisbig June 11, 1966, who 
preceded her in death in 1985. On July 20, 2002 Gwen married David Hoppough, 
who preceded her in death in 2015. Gwen worked as a Hair stylist in Ionia for 
35 years, with her final chair at Creative Edge. She loved and appreciated al 
her clients during her many years as a hairstylist. She also worked at Boyce 
school in Food Service for the last 2 years. Gwen was formerly very actively 
involved with the Grand ledge Michigan Army National Guards Family Readiness 
Group. Gwen enjoyed may hobbies over her lifetime. In this final season of 
life, her granddaughters were her most precious hobby. Gwen loved spending 
time with her family and friends. Surviving are her children; Gwenn "Wendy" 
(Martin) Born of North Richland Hills, Texas; and Robert "Jim" (Amy) Reisbig 
of Ionia Grandchildren; Emmily; Isabella, and Matthew, Sisters: Carmen (Jim) 
Schodowski of Ionia, Jackie "Joy" (Eddie) Ingvartsen of Ionia, and Linda 
Reisbig of Ionia and brother Terry Jeffery. 

There will be a Memorial/Celebration of Life starting at 1:00 prior to her 
Benefit at the Ionia Moose Lodge, November 9, 2019 form 2-5 p.m. The family 
would like to extend a sincere thank you to Cindi, Jenifer, and Tiffany and 
all those involved in making the Benefit possible for our Mother. Those 
wishing may make memorial contributions in care of Lake Funeral Home in
