Raymond Glen Horn passed away at his home on Sunday October 22, 2006.  He was 
born April 8th, 1924 to Ernest & Nellie (Powell) in Scotland County, 
Missouri.  He enlisted in the Navy October 21, 1943.  He served during World 
War II and received 4 medals, the World War Two medal, American Area Campaign 
medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign medal and the Asiatic Pacific 
Area-1 bronze star.  He was honorably discharged October 23, 1947.  After 
leaving the Navy, he moved to Saranac, Michigan. On December 24th, 1948 he 
married Elaine Jones from Muir, Michigan.  He retired from the State of 
Michigan in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine of Pewamo, and children. Sons Raymond Dale 
(Debby) Horn of Sunfield, Mi. and Mike (Sharon) Horn of Clarksville, Md. 
Daughters Rae Horn of Ionia, Mi. Bonnie (Bill) Corkwell of Ionia, MI, Cindy 
(Duane) Blum of Fairbanks, Alaska, Paula Ling of Grapevine, Texas.  He is also 
survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also survived by 
his two sisters Arlene Pruett and Ella Mae Leavens of Auburn, California and 
many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his 
brothers and sisters-in-law Don and Sharon Horn, Hillis and Marybelle Horn of 
Missouri. 

A visitation will be held Wednesday 2-8 PM at Lake Funeral home in Muir.  A 
private ceremony for the family will be held after visitation.  In lieu of 
flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Ionia.
