HORNE HASTINGS - Frederick H. Horne 69 of Lake Odessa, died December 23, at Pennock Hospital in Hastings. He was born on December 23, 1918, the son of Fred A.and Florence (Brown) Horne, in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Poland High School in Ohio and attended Youngstown College. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was married first to Doris Kingston; the marriage ended in divorce. He was married to Margaret Burkle in Beaver Falls, PA.; she survives him. Also surviving him are a son Richard of Florida; a daughter, Sally Skelton of Charlotte. His father, Fred A Horne of Alma, a brother, Ralph and two sisters, Cecilia Varin of California and Ruby Coper of Westland. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren. A son, James preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. The Rev. Duane Walter will officiate. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society, in care of Koops Funeral Home,Lake Odessa, which made funeral arrangements.
