Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 24 Feb 1950

Mrs. Edith Lorene Hornick, 47, died at her home in Detroit on Meyers Road
Thursday, Feb. 23.  She was born in Saranac Sept. 5, 1902 and graduated from
Saranac high school in 1920.  She had been employed as a bookkeeper at the Haley
funeral home in Detroit.

Surviving are the husband, Louis, her mother, Mrs. H.N. Talcott of Saranac; and
two brothers, Rex Talcott of Detroit and Keith Talcott of Saranac.

Haley’s funeral home will remove the body to Saranac Sunday where they will
conduct the services from the Morris funeral home at 1 p.m.  Burial will be in
Saranac cemetery.
