The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 7, 1978

Greenville—Beatrice Horrocks, 73, of 714 East Benton, formerly of Ionia, died 
Thursday in Tampa, Florida.  She was born December 9, 1904 in Saranac, the 
daughter of Frederick and Grace Johnson.

She married Deo Horrocks September 9, 1921 in Ionia and lived in Ionia most of 
her life, before moving to Greenville in 1968.  She was a member of Zion 
United Methodist church and was active in Ionia county 4-H.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Deo of Lansing and Stanley of 
Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Thayne (Lois) Helmer of Ionia; 14 grandchildren 
and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services are Monday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Nolan 
Williams of Zion United Methodist church officiating.  Burial is in Easton 
cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home 
Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
