Sentinel-Standard - Friday, March 9, 1984

Ionia- Judd J. Horrocks, 79, of Ionia, died Thursday at the Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Ionia July 6, 1904, the son of Willis and Anna Eddy Horrocks.

He attended Ionia schools, and worked with his brother Roy in a garage at the 
intersection of Dexter and Lincoln Streets.

He also worked at AC Sparkplug during World War II, worked with Modern Cleaners 
and has managed a service station for several years.

He married Josephine Wacha May 22, 1943, in Belding. They lived their entire 
married lives in Ionia, the last 34 years at their present Jermyn Street 
address.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul 
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine; one brother, Roy, of Ionia. One sister, 
Betty, preceded in death in 1983.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from SS. Peter and Paul Church 
with the Rev. Thomas Bolster officiating.

Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.

A scriptural rosary service will be Friday at 7 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral 
Home.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Friday from 2 
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society, in care of the 
funeral home.
