Eleonore L. Horrocks, age 94, of Ionia, passed away Oct. 9, 2015, in Ionia.  She
was born Oct. 22, 1920, in Lyons, Michigan, the daughter of Albert and Bessie
(Hodges) Lindsey.  Eleonore married Otto Horrocks on July 9, 1937, in Ionia.  He
preceded her in death in 1974.  She was a lifetime member of the Ionia American
Legion Auxiliary.

Eleonore is survived by her children, Dixie Murawa of Ludington, Shirley
Houghton of Ionia, Kenneth Horrocks of Nebraska, Gerri Brown of Florida, Lindsey
(Cindy) Horrocks of Nebraska and James (Patricia) Horrocks of Lakeview; 25
grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sons, Otto John and
Otto John; daughters, Kay Bryant and Gina Joe; grandson, James Murawa II;
sisters, Dorothy Bennett and Thelma Duval and brothers, Albert and Clyde.

Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Lake Funeral Home in
Muir with Pastor Greg Gladding officiating.  Interment at Lyons Cemetery. 
Visitation is two hours prior to service.  Memorial contributions may be made to
American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
