Jack Horton, 66, died at the St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand Rapids, Friday 
following a lingering illness.  He was a veteran of World War I and worked as 
chef at the Blythfield Country Club and Morton House.

He married Cassie Allen at Angola, Indiana, Oct. 11, 1957.  She survives along 
with a step-daughter Mrs. Lewis Chlebek of R3, a step-son, Larry Allen of Grand 
Rapids, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Ellis Funeral home with the Rev. H. S. 
Ellis officiating and burial in Saranac Cemetery, Saranac.
