MRS. LILLIAN L. HORTON

CLARKSVILLE-Mrs. Lillian L. Horton, 69 of 6895 Goodemote Road, Clarksville died 
Tuesday evening at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids where she had been a 
patient for one day.

She was born September 5, 1909 at Center Road Station, Pa., daughter of William 
Helen (Owens) Bollard.

On July 18, 1936 she married Carrol Horton in Ripley, N.Y.. She attended school 
in West Springfield, Pa., and graduated in 1931 with an RN degree from Lake 
County Memorial Hospital, School of Nursing, Painesville, Ohio. She was also a 
graduate of Towson State Teachers College Maryland.

She was a day supervisor at Metropolitan General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio; 
taught 15 years at Rosedale and Hawthoren Elementary school in Essex, Maryland 
and was a teachers aide at Lake school, Clarksville in 1972.

Mrs. Horton was a member of Maryland State teachers Association and Lake County 
Memorial Hospital Alumni Association.

She moved to Clarksville from Baltimore, Maryland June of 1972.

Survivors include her husband Carrol; two sons, William of Clarksville and Larry 
of Grand Rapids; one brother Morris Bollard of Linesville, Pa.; one sister, 
Mrs.Gladys Schaub of Bradentn, Fla. and one granddaughter, Cindy Horton.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday from the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in 
Clarksville. Burial will be in the Clarksville cemetery.
