Jan. 6, 2018 HORVATH Pau; J. Horvath, 94, of Belding, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. Paul was born on October 8, 1923 in Sharon, PA., the son of Peter and Mary (Mikolajcik) Horvath. Paul proudly served his country during WW II serving in the Army Air Corps. Paul was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding, past president of the Home and School Association, a member of the Holy Name Society, The Ushers Club, American legion Post No 203 in Belding and the Gibson engineering Club. Paul retired from Gibsons in Greenville after many years of service. Paul was an avid golfer and played in several leagues for many years. He was also a talented builder of model airplanes and ships. He married on November 12,1947 in Hudson, Mi. to Dorothy Post who preceded him on January 17, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Cecilia, Margaret and Carolyn. Paul is loved and survived by his children; Susan Horvath, Sharon Wexler both of Lansing, Marcia (Larry) Satteria of Rockford, Stephen (Kim) Horvath of Belding, grandchildren; Jason Potter, Erin (Shawn) Hager and Lauren Wexler, great- grandchildren; Owen, Aiden and Gracyn Hager, and sister Mary Ellen Ulan of Hermitage, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Father Jim Wyse as celebrant. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday with a Rosary prayed at 7:30 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding and one hour before mass at the church. Private interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Belding. Memorials may be given to Spectrum health Hospice or your favorite charity.
