Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Sep 1934

The death of Mrs. Mary Louise Hosburg, 78 years of age, widow of Joseph Hosburg,
died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Wright, Ionia township, Sunday
morning at 10:30 o’clock.  Mr. Hosburg’s death occurred about nine years ago. 
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bond, early settlers in Ionia, and
was born in 1856 in their home which was located on the corner where the Armory
is now located.  She has for the most part of her life lived in Easton township.
 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Wright, Mrs. John McDonald of Grand
Rapids, and one son John Hosburg of Easton, six grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held from the residence of her
daughter, Mrs. Fred Wright, Ionia township, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. 
Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
