The body was found by one of the men on a milk wagon, who was about to leave milk at the room. Mr. Hosey had planned to go away and had asked Ed. Brown of the Dexter house to take care of his work during the interval. Brown was met by the man who had discovered Hosey’s body and Sheriff Lowrey, Coroner Boynton and Dr. R.R. Whitten were summoned. The body was in an upright position in a chair and by the state of rigor mortis in which it was, it was determined that Hosey had been dead from 12 to 14 hours, caused by a hemorrhage brought on by coughing. Hosey had last been seen at 6 o’clock Saturday evening. Coroner Boynton called a jury to view the body, but an inquest is not anticipated. The members of the jury are: Ed. Price, Joe Poole, A.A. Baxter, Joe Powell, Glenn Mathews and John Gazella. The remains were taken to Bradley’s mortuary, funeral Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock at Church of SS. Peter & Paul. Deceased was about 65 years old and leaves four brothers, Nicholas of Portland, William and Alfred of Ionia and Phil of Mulliken.
