Ionia Daily Standard, 5 May 1902

Funeral services for George Hosford were conducted at the Church of Christ on
Sunday afternoon, the discourse being by Rev. A.B. Griffith.  Mr. Hosford was
one of the organizers of this church, and retained his membership, always in
good standing, to the end.  E.T. Merriett, J. C. Christian, C. S. Sedam, and
Henry Pierce were the carriers.  Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was born
July 11, 1823.]
