Helen Hoskins, aged 79, of Lyons and formerly of Goodells, Michigan, passed away
Dec.  13, 2008.  She was born Aug. 2, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of John and
Alexandra (Kwiatiwskia) Duda.  Helen was a master gardener and love to sew and
travel.  She was a volunteer for reading and tutoring for schools.  Helen was a
friend of the Lyons Library and was a past treasurer of Village of Lyons.

She is survived by her children Kathleen (Fred) Baldwin of Port Huron, Stephen
Hoskins of California, Jessica Noe of Spain, Bradley Hoskins of Port Huron and
Randall Hoskins of California; 4 grandchildren, Melanie Boddy, Marie Baldwin,
Khaila Allen and Nichole Hoskins and one great grandchild Zachary Boddy; brother
Ed Duda of Port Huron and sister Mari Timlin of Yale.  She was preceded in death
by her son David Hoskins.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec.  27 at 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral
Home in Muir.  In lieu of flowers you may make memorial contributions to
Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund.
