Lake Odessa Wave 
           SERVICES HELD FOR IRENE HOSKINS
   Mrs. Irene Hoskins, 55, of 722 Lakeview Dr., Lake Odessa and former Dimondale
resident passed away Sunday afternoon at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, where she was 
hospitalized four weeks, after an extended illness.
   She was born December 10, 1918, in Pompeii, the daughter of Michael and Georgia
(McPherson) Phillips.  
She married Laurence Hoskins at Diamond, January 25, 1942 and when he retired they
moved to Lake Odessa in 1969.  Mr. Hoskins passed away May 21, 1972.
   Mrs. Hoskins was a member of the Congregational Church, the Blue Star Mothers
Chapter, the Past Noble Grand Club and the Refuge Rebekah lodge, all of Lake Odessa.
   Surviving are three daughters;  Mrs. Arthur (Ella May) Longpre of Mason, Mrs.
Kathie Haney and Treasa Hoskins of Lake Odessa;  one son Thomas of Lansing;  six grand 
children;  four sisters Goldie Phillips and Mrs. Joseph (Agnes) Korienck of Bannister,  
Mrs. Leonard (Louise) Tillison of Elsie and Mrs. Victor (Betty) Kristin of Lansing.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koop Funeral Chapel,
Lake Odessa with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.  Rev. Arthur Ruder officiated.
