The Ionia County News, Thursday, March 14, 1929


Mrs. Grace Hart Hosmer, 45 yrs. old of Carlton Center, south west of Lake 
Odessa, died Friday in Pennock hospital, at Hastings, where she was taken 
following a short illness which came upon her suddenly at her home only ten 
days previous.  Her case was a puzzle to all physicians who were called and 
she lay unconscious most of the time until the end.

She was a resident of Lake Odessa many years.  She was widely known here and 
was a daughter of the late Doctor Hart of Lake Odessa who died about ten years 
ago.  She worked many years in her brother Herbert’s drug store here before 
her marriage.  She leaves the husband Frank Hosmer.  

Funeral was held Sunday afternoon in Carlton Center Methodist church and 
burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
