Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Oct 1951

Mrs. Eliza Hotchkiss, 85, widow of George Hotchkiss, died at Brookville, Fla.,
Friday, October 19, of a heart attack.  She had been there only a short time. 
Mrs. Hotchkiss and her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Batchelder, and her husband spend
their winters in Florida and their summers at Traverse City.

She was a former resident of Keene township and also lived for some time one and
one-half miles north of Ionia on the State road before moving to Bellaire where
her husband died.

Surviving besides the daughter is a son, Aubel, of North Platte, Neb.

Funeral services will be held at the Fitzjohn funeral home in Belding Friday at
2 p.m.  The Rev. H.S. Ellis will officiate.  Interment will be in the River
Ridge cemetery.
