Hough, aged 68 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was born in Wayne county, Ohio, September 21, 1831. In 1856 he was united in marriage to Miss Elleanor Mathews. At Wooster, Ohio, May 2, 1864, in Company C., of the 169th regular Ohio national guard, he shouldered arms in defense of his country. On September 4th, 1864, he received an honorable discharge. With his family came to Michigan in 1876, settling in Odessa township. Mrs. H. was taken away by death on May 30, 1887, two of the children soon following their mother, leaving four children to mourn the death of the father. The services were held at the Woodbury church, G. A. Weed conducting. After a few well chosen words from First Corinthians, 15th chapter, 26th verse, by Rev. Hall, the remains were interred in Lakeside cemetery.
