               RESIDENT MANY YRS. DIES MONDAY DEC. 19
                                       ------------
CYNTHO HOUGHTON LEAVES WIDOW AND TWO SONS.  AN OLD RESIDENT OF THE TOWNSHIP.
                                       ------------
An old resident o Woodland township many years passed away at his home just
southwest of town Monday 
afternoon.  Mr. Houghton was 72 years of age and leaves a devoted wife and two sons,
 Roy and Forrest.
   The funeral was largely attended at the Tamarac church Wednesday afternoon.  Rev.
Griffin of Hastings 
preached.  Burial at Lakeside.
   Mr. Houghton was most respected citizen of the community, a splendid neighbor and
a faithful member of 
the Tamarac U B. church.  He had not been very well for a long time but the end came
suddenly Monday.
