Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 27 Feb & 4 Mar 1957

Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Houghton, 74, of Orleans died Wednesday morning at 6:15 at
the Ionia County Memorial hospital, where she was admitted Tuesday.  She had
been ill for the past four years.  Born May 15, 1882 in Easton township, she was
a daughter of Henry Tingley and Azelia (Shaw) Tingley and was a member of the
Methodist Episcopal church.  She was married to Frank G. Houghton, January 9,
1913 in Woodland and they moved to Jackson where they resided until 1932 when
they returned to Ionia County.  Mr. and Mrs. Houghton resided at the present
residence for one year.

Surviving are her husband, Frank G. Houghton and two sisters, Mrs. Della Bradley
of rural route, Ionia, and Mrs. Anna Tucker of Portland.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the
Stone-Kauffman funeral home.  The Rev. H. S. Ellis will officiate and interment
will be in Woodard Lake cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie E. Houghton of Orleans who died Wednesday
morning were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stone-Kauffman
funeral home.  The Rev. Hubert Ellis of Belding officiated.  Interment was in
Woodard Lake cemetery.  Bearers were Lee Harrington, Ovett Harrington, Morris
Yeomans, John Stoddard, Bob Bennett and Wesley Johnson.  Attending from out of
town were Mrs. Edna Wood of Belding, Mrs. Anna Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Tucker
and David Williams of Portland and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tucker of Saranac.
