The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, May 10, 1934


E. D. Houghton, 83 years of age, died at his home at Tremaynes Corners Thursday 
noon, May 10.  He had lived all his life in this community and was preceded in 
death by his wife whose death occurred 14 years ago.  Surviving are two 
daughters, Mrs. Elmer Shook of Orange, and Mrs. Vera Hoffman, at home; three 
sons, Charles, Bert and Lyle, of Orange, eight grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. 
Rosa Elvert, of Missouri and a half-sister, Mrs. Charles Reader of Woodbury.  
Funeral arrangements have not been made.
