Ionia County Shopper's Guide, 6 Nov 2010

Stuart Houghton, age 84, of Ionia passed away at his home with his family by his
side October 31, 2010 in Ionia.  Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 42
years, Shirley Houghton; sons: Doug (Carol) Houghton of Stanton and Robert
Houghton of Clarksville; sister, Shirley (Leo) Seymour of Grand Rapids; 4
grandchildren: Mike Houghton of Montana, Tom (Jenny) Houghton of Ionia, Harvey
(Annette) Houghton of Mesick, MI, and Shelly (Dan) Wiergan of Newaygo; 8 great
grandchildren: Samantha, Alexandria, Emily, Stephen, Alison, Tommy, Jacob and
Rachel; 3 step-great grandchildren: Trenton, Peter and Noah; mother in law,
Eleonore Horrocks of Ionia; aunt, Dorothy Laux of Ionia; sister in laws: Dixie
Murawa, Kay (George) Bryant and Gerri Brown; brother in laws, Kenneth (Sara)
Horrocks, James (Dorothy) Horrocks and Lindsey (Cindy) Horrocks and several
nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held Saturday, November 6 from 11 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Anyone wishing may make a memorial
contribution in Stuart’s name to Heartland Hospice.
