          BODY OF ERVIN HOWARD ARRIVED WEDNESDAY
   The friends of Ervin Howard, Sr.., were surprised to learn of his death in
Lansing last Tuesday evening.
   The body was brought to the home of his mother here Wednesday and the funeral was
held at the home at 1 o'clock Thursday.
   Mr. Howard wa a resident of Lake Odessa most of his life and was well known as
his business was paperhanging, and he had done work all over the village and vicinity.  
Recently, however he had worked in Lansing.
   Z. E. Howard was born in Portland, Mich., Nov. 7, 1877, and died Sept. 7, 1920. 
His early life was spent in Portland, he moving to this village, with his parents in 1895.  
He was united in marriage to Cora Steele May 15, 1900, who departed from his life Jan. 9, 1916.
   He is survived by an aged mother, Mrs. W. H. Howard, and two brothers, W. E. and
M. R. Howard.
