Howard, 84, died at noon Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Guy Edington, 113 Mill street, where he had resided since 1937. He had been in poor health for a number of years. Born September 26, 1860, in Shiawassee county near Morrice, he had lived most of his life near Sheridan and Fenwick until seven years ago when he moved to Ionia to live with his daughter. He was married in 1885 to Minnie Manning who died in 1920. In 1922 he was married to Mrs. Fannie Jenks of Fenwick, and she died in 1937. He was a member of the Fenwick Odd Fellows and a member of the Bushnell Baptist church until it disbanded. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edington of Ionia and Mrs. Fred Sponholz of Detroit. A third daughter, Mrs. Roy Cuter of Stanton, died in 1941. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body reposes at the Stebbins funeral home at Sheridan where funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. George Woolcock, pastor of First Baptist Church, Ionia, will officiate and burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.
