Betty M. Howard, 74, of Portland, died Dec. 8, at Ionia Manor.  She was born
Jan. 12, 1913, in Sand Lake, the daughter of Bert and Pearl Bessey Braford.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Burton, Mich., and Jack of Kennewick,
Wash.; four daughters, Patricia Lowery and Bonnie Weiber, both of Portland,
Betty Jill of Orange City, Fla., and Linda Kirschman.

Arrangements will be announced by the Neller Funeral Home of Portland.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Portland Cemetery.]
