Lyons Herald, 4 Jan 1901 & Ionia Daily Standard, 8 Feb 1898

Events during the last ¼ of century:  Feb. 7, 1898.  Death of Franklin Howe, 
whose wife Rhoda died about one week previous, having been married 59 years.

Franklin Howe, Lyons died yesterday.  He has been a resident there about forty 
years, and was greatly esteemed.  His age was about 80.  His wife died just a 
week ago yesterday.  They have been married sixty years.
