The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, September 2, 1921

M. L. Howe, aged 73 years, lifelong resident and well known and loved Otisco 
township farmer, passed away at his home south and east of Belding, Monday 
afternoon.  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. 
W. A. Bles officiating, with the G.A.R. service by the local post, given at 
the grave in River Ridge cemetery.
