Ionia County News - 6 April 1922
Lucinda Amelia Hale was born at Youngstown, Ohio, February 4, 1843, and died 
March 26, 1923, at Orleans, Michigan.

When just a baby she came with her parents to Michigan.  She was united in 
marriage to Robert Howe in 1858.  To this union were born eight children:  Elva, 
who died at three years of age; Mrs. Elta Lavery and Zala, of Orleans; Mrs. 
Martha Rickert and Mrs. Mary Rickert, of Saranac; Levi, of Orleans, and Mrs. 
Bertha Pryer and Mrs. Nora Poste, of Pacific Grove, Cal, and two brothers, 
Lafayette and Warren Hale of Orleans and a host of friends.

She was converted to Christ under the labors of C. H. Sage, 50 years ago, and 
has lived an earnest Christian life ever since.

The funeral was held March 29, at 10 o'clock, at the Orleans M.E. church, Rev. 
H. D. Gafflin, of Belding, officiating.
