He had been in poor health for some time. A few months ago he suffered a slight stroke of paralysis and since then has gradually failed until death came to relieve his sufferings. He was born in Murray, N. Y. and came to Michigan over fifty years ago. He was married to Adelaide House after the civil war. Mr. Howe was an excellent citizen and respected by all who knew him. He leaves besides his wife one son, Frank Howe, who resides at the old home. His brother J. W. Howe of this city, is the only member of the Howe family of four brothers and three sisters now living. The funeral was held at Green’s church at 10:30 Wednesday. Rev. G. F. Craig officiating.
