Donald F. Howell, 48, of Smyrna died Friday at Belding Community hospital.  
Born July 8, 1924 in Greenville he was the son of Fletcher and Elva Howell.  
November 13, 1941, he was married to Madeline Ward and she survives.  He was a 
pipe fitter for Gibson Refrigerator company and member of the UAW local.

Besides his wife, Madeline, he leaves two sons, Joseph and Michael of Belding; 
five grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Gary Olsen of Trufant.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding.  
Rev. Wilford Wood will officiate and interment will be at River Ridge 
cemetery.  Family will be at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 
and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
