Pioneer Lady Passes.

Mrs. Emma Howell, 82, passed away Saturday at the home of her son, Fletcher
Howell, 917 S. Pleasant street, after a long period of ill health.  She was born
in Oakfield and had lived in this vicinity her entire life.  Her husband, Enoch
Howell, preceded her in death in 1929.  She is survived by one son, Fletcher;
two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother E.H. Fletcher, of
Leslie.  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home
with Rev. H.S. Ellis officiating and burial was in the Ashley cemetery.  The
pallbearers were relatives of the deceased, Richard Westover, Donald Howell,
James Mays, John Serviss, Harold Serviss and Hugh Godbold.
