Harvey E. Howorth, aged 76, a well-known farmer living north and east of Palo, died at his home there Saturday afternoon after an illness that has lasted for some time. Mr. Howorth was the victim of a peculiar disease, called spinal relerosis in medical terms, and which is not often observed. He was subject to attacks of temporary paralysis, which were liable to attack him at anytime and would last but a short time, when he would be able to go with his work or anything that he happened to be engaged in. Mr. Howorth lost his wife about two years ago and leaves three children, James of Willow Creek, Mont.; Hugh, of Lansing, and Mrs. Mabel Wright, of Palo. The funeral will be held from Palo Baptist church Wednesday at 2 o’clock sun time under the auspices of the Palo Masonic fraternity. Mr. Howorth owned a large farm a mile east and a half mile north of Palo, where he has lived for many years and was one of the best known residents of that region.
