Ionia Sentinel Standard, 14 Apr 1986

Beatrice Lucille Howorth, 78, of 5695 Hoppough Road, Orleans, died at Ionia
County Memorial Hospital Friday night.  She was the daughter of Charles and
Nellie (Belknap) Stoddard, born in Ionia County on September 7, 1907.  She
attended Ionia schools, and married John J. Howorth November 9, 1927, in Ionia.
 He died on March 17, 1976.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter,
Rosemary Howorth.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Barbara) Schafer of Pewamo; two sons,
Roy G. Howorth of Ionia and Charles L. Howorth of Orleans; 12 grandchildren,
seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ambrose Stoddard of Ionia; several
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Montgomery-Roetman Funeral Home Monday at
2 p.m. with the Rev. Willis Braun of the LeValley United Methodist Church
officiating.  Burial will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery.  A memorial has been
established for the American Cancer Society.
