Services for John (Joe) Howorth, 67, will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm at the
Roetman Funeral Home, Saranac.  Rev. James Frank will officiate and interment
will be at the Woodard Lake cemetery.  Mr. Howorth, who lived at 64 Vosper,
Saranac, died Wednesday morning at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids
following a brief illness.  Born in Montcalm county September 5, 1908, he was
the son of Vern and Alice Hall Howorth.  November 9, 1927, he was married in
Ionia to Beatrice Stoddard and lived in the Saranac area since 1958.  He was an
electrician most of his life and was employed as such for nine years at Amway
Corporation, Ada.

Surviving besides the wife, Beatrice, are two sons, Roy G. Howorth of Ionia, and
Charles Howorth of Orleans; daughter, Mrs. Barbara Schafer of Pewamo; and 12
grandchildren.

Members of the family will be at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 2 to
4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
