Vernon L. Howarth, 61, of Palo died Monday in the same house in which he was 
born. He had been in poor health some time, having suffered a stroke several 
months ago, and Sunday evening was taken with a bad spell which was thought to 
be another stroke. This caused unconsciousness, from which he did not rally. He 
is survived by the widow and three grown children.

The funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 
o'clock, fast time. The interment will be in the Palo cemetery.
