HOWORTH
Roy Gene Howorth, age 91 of Ionia, MI. passed away Wednesday, December 4, 
2019. He was born on August 6, 1928 in Ionia the son of Joseph and Beatrice 
(Stoddard) Howorth. Roy graduated from ionia Public schools, He served in the 
Army during the Korea War. He married Patricia Schafer on October 22, 1955, 
she passed away December 28, 2015. Roy was a life member of Knights of 
Columbus and Sheridan VFW; he was also a member of SS Peter & Paul Church. He 
loved fishing, playing cards and bingo.

Surviving are his children Michael (Marcia) Howorth of Ionia, William (Kim) 
Howorth of Lowell, Beth (David) Mellinger of Ionia, Gerri Howorth of Gig 
Harbor, WA., David (Melanie) Howorth of Denver, CO., and Roy (Holly) Howorth 
of Ionia. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother 
Charles(Joan) Howorth of Orleans and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia and sister Barbara 
Schafer.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
