Patricia R. Howorth, age 83 of Ionia, passed away Dec. 28, 2015 in Grand Rapids. 
She was born March 17, 1932 in Pewamo, Michigan, the daughter of William and
Hildegard Schafer.  Pat married Roy Howorth in Pewamo, Oct. 22, 1955.

She worked at Nelson’s Orchard and Hanulcik Fruit Farm.  She also worked at the
Fargo station with her husband.  Pat was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church
and past member of Woman’s Moose.  She loved spending time with her family and
friends and always had a smile on her face.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roy Howorth of Ionia; children,
Michael (Marcia) Howorth of Ionia, William (Kimberly) Howorth of Lowell, Beth
(David) Mellinger of Ionia, Gerri Howorth and Deb Mason of Washington, David Howorth
of Colorado and Roy (Holly) Howorth of Ionia; brother, Kenneth (Katrinka) Schafer of
Lansing; sisters Louise (Francis) Feldpausch of Fowler and Diane (Carroll) Conroy of
Florida; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at SS
Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ionia.  A visitation will be held 10 a.m. Saturday
until time of services.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.  Memorial
contributions may be made to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
