Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 25 Nov 1949

Saranac – Fred W. Hoxie, 74, died at his home Thanksgiving day at 3 a.m. very
suddenly.  He was born in Easton township May 6, 1875.  He was a carpenter by
trade.

Surviving are the wife, Mina, a son, Andrew of Concord; a daughter, Mrs. Francis
Richmond of Doster; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step
children, Russell Herron of Detroit, Dale Herron of Grand Rapids and Arthur
Norton of Lowell.

Funeral services will be held Sunday Nov. 27, at 2:30 p.m. from the Morris
funeral home with the Rev. Glen McCarty officiating.  Interment will be in
Saranac cemetery.
