Hoy, the farm hand injured some four weeks ago on the farm of Arthur Knapp in North Plains, died on Wednesday. At time of the accident he was driving a team of mules on a disc harrow and the mules became frightened and ran away. He fell from the harrow and it passed over his body, badly cutting and crushing one of his legs, which was amputated in an effort to save his life. His spine was also affected, causing him to lose his mind. A widow and two children survive.
