Robert Walter Hoy, 68, of Fenwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving 
family at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Tuesday, June 12, 2012.

Robert was born in Carson City on June 8, 1944 to Glenn Staines and Edith 
(Thomas) Hoy at Carson City Hospital.

Robert (Bob) Greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. He loved being 
surrounded by his family and friends.

Robert married Bonnie Lou Terwilliger on June 22, 1962 in Orleans. She survived 
him along with their children, Theresa (Gregory) Bozung of Sheridan, Wanda 
(John) Nevills of Dansville, Brenda (Thomas) Mills of Hubbbardston, and Robert 
Mark Hoy and partner for life Carla Knapp of Fenwick; 10 grandchildren, 
Rebecca, Kelly and Allison Bozung, Trina and Michael Nevills, Matthew and 
Christopher Mills, Tabatha and Bobby Hoy, and Georgia Knapp; and one great 
granddaughter, Bonnie Jean Badder.

Robert is also survived by his sisters, Peggy Lehman and Betty (Jack) Marter; 
and brothers, Kenneth Hoy and David Hoy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Velma 
and Erwin Terwilliger (the Twigs); and brother-in-law, Joseph Lehman. 

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Sunny Hill 
Cemetery, North of Palo.

Memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to Michigan Cancer Society.
