James G. Hoy, 59, of Ionia, passed away February 19, 2004 in Ionia. He was 
born December 20, 1944 in Ionia the son of Robert C. and Betty J. (Raymor) 
Hoy. 

He graduated from Ionia High School in 1963. He married Carol Crawford June 8, 
2002. He was a member of R.P. Wood Creations Bowling Team and White Tails 
Unlimited. He was an avid blood donor for the Red Cross.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Hoy of Ionia; sons, Scott and Heather 
Hoy of Ionia, Harold and Cindy Williford of Saranac, John Williford of 
Saranac, Jody and Jennifer Williford of Paw Paw; daughter, Julie and Gerald 
Stanley of Ionia; brother, Robert and Barbara Hoy of Ionia; sister, Sharon and 
Vern Vance of Traverse City; and fourteen grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2004 at Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kendall Harger officiating. The family will 
receive friends and relatives Saturday 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Anyone 
wishing may make memorial contributions to family choice. Envelopes available 
at funeral home.
