Mr. Hoy was born at Lisbon, Indiana, April 21, 1857, the youngest son of Captain and Mrs. Robert Hoy. He came to Michigan when he was 15 years of age. Most of his life has been spent in the Fenwick vicinity. He is survived by his widow, Cora; four sons, Elmo and Rudy of Ionia and Algy and Glenn at home, one daughter, Elizabeth Walters of Bushnell, one stepson Rex Caulkins of Fenwick, and a sister, Jennie Demorest of Entrican. Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at two o’clock. Burial in Sunny Hill cemetery.
