Auburn W. Hubbard, 81, of Saranac, passed away May 12, 2004 in Saranac.  He was 
born September 30, 1922 in Keene Township the son of Walter and Orpha 
(Gilliland).  He lived all his life in Saranac.  He served in WWII and was 
honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the Saranac 
American Legion and Ionia V.F.W.

Auburn is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Hubbard of Saranac; sons, Donald 
and Christine Hubbard of Bruce Crossing, Kim and Suzanne Hubbard of Three 
Rivers; brothers, Kenneth and Peg Hubbard of Saranac, Dean and Nancy Hubbard of 
Three Rivers; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jared, Joseph, Craig, Tim, Janice, Shana 
and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn Dodds.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Bruce Chadwick officiating.  Interment Saranac Cemetery.  Visitation will 
be Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing 
may make a memorial contribution to Saranac Fire Department or Ionia Area 
Hospice.
