Ionia Sentinel Standard, 10 May 1940

Private funeral services will be held [unreadable words] at 12:30 o’clock at the
home of Frank Hubbard, 321 Ridgewood street, SE, for his father, Mark Hubbard,
who died Wednesday evening.  Services will be held at 1 o’clock from the Godwin
Heights Gospel tabernacle with Mrs. Henry Koets officiating.  Interment will be
in Highland Park cemetery in Ionia.

Mark Hubbard was born in Orleans, March 11, 1859, and lived almost his entire
life in that community.  For the past four years he has been living at the home
of his son, Frank, in Grand Rapids.  Before that he lived a few years in Grand
Rapids by himself.  He has been in failing health for some time, and lost
considerably during the last three weeks.  He was 81 years old at the time of
death.

Surviving are two sons, Frank and Mark Hubbard, of Grand Rapids, one daughter,
Mrs. Etta Langs of Greenville and one brother, Chauncey Hubbard, of Belding.
